To round off our 50th Anniversary year, we have produced a 40 page full-colour magazine covering our celebration at Statfold on 16th and 17th September. We had far too many photographs to squeeze in to the regular News, so we hope that this special magazine will bring back many happy memories for those who were there and give a flavour of what happened to those who sadly couldn’t make it. Particular thanks are due to the photographers who submitted the photographs and to Stuart Taylor, our News Editor, for bringing it all together. All photos in this Statfold Celebration magazine are Copyright of the named photographer and may be saved for personal use only. They may not be republished elsewhere without the written permission of the Copyright holder.

There are two ways of obtaining a copy. Thanks to everyone who has been part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations. It has been a year to remember!

Andrew Kirkby (my Son), the organiser and supporter of Narrow Gauge North, passed away on the 4 January, having been ill since May last year.

However, whilst organising this year’s show, he has been ably assisted by his son Oli, and due to his efforts, the show will take place on the 11 March.

The show will be dedicated to Andrew, and we should like to raise as much money as possible for Sue Ryder Care-Wheatfields

Scans of the 009 News for 1973 have been redacted and are now available to Society Members on this site as a PDF download. We shall be adding more years as the scans of the paper archives, undertaken by Brian Ellesmore, become available.

The Members’ Shop is now also visible to non-Members who may browse the stock to see what is available but cannot purchase until they join the 009 Society. We hope this will encourage potentional members to join the Society and for existing members who have not registered for this site to do so.
